Quick, think of birth……. what comes to your mind first? For many it is pain, screaming, lots of time, hospitals, water…
So many things go through my mind when one saus birth. But ultimately I would have to say it is baby. For many birth = baby.You get pregnant, you go into labor you have a baby. Every year you celebrate this baby.
But we forget… we forget that a mother is born with each baby. We need to remember that within that first moment we find out we are pregnant, a mother is being formed, just as surely as the cells inside are forming a baby.
With each birth a strong, intelligent, smart, amazing mother is born. This mother needs to know that she knows her baby. She is the expert. She holds the answers to this tiny being.
Every year the baby is celebrated on it’s birthday, as it should be. But the mother should be celebrated too. The strong, competent, capable mothers should to be celebrated also.
