We hired Amy for the birth of our first child. She was remarkable and an essential part of our birth. She met with us during the last trimester to prepare for labor and help us write our birth plan. She was at our side when we thought we had to have an inversion at 40 weeks and at 4 am when we went into labor a week later. Amy supported my husband and I during labor by bringing valuable pain management techniques and tools to the birth center as well as a source for information so we could make educated decisions. She helped me get through the pain of labor without medical intervention and facilitated the birth of my dreams. After the birth of our daughter, she was available to help us through breastfeeding questions and helped answer our first-time parent questions. She presented us with a photo-journal and birth story at her post-partum visit. We consider Amy a part of our family, and we are grateful for finding her.
